The participants were divided into two groups. Group 1 sorted out the case of optimizing the ball mill operation. Group 2 focused on gas consumption optimization in a walking beam furnace and predictive analytics of a rolling mill downtime. Having no experience in Data Science, EVRAZ specialists managed not only to build digital models of equipment using CyberStudio but also to acquire its recommendations.
At Skoltech, EVRAZ employees received an opportunity for first-hand experience and analysis of the CyberStudio functionality. Day 1 and 2 were devoted to working on the platform and solving problems with its help, and Day 3 marked the defense of cases. It is worth mentioning that the CyberPhysics company provided free full access to the software for the first time in its history! Nevertheless, participants, along with the data scientist, who had to solve the same cases using Python, highly appreciated the accessibility, speed of work, and intuitiveness of CyberStudio.
